The promoter region is less stable and hence more prone to melting as compared to other genomic regions. Our analysis shows that promoter prediction is possible on the basis of the differences in the stability of DNA sequences in the promoter and non-promoter region

Ecoprom is a database that can identify and display the potential promoter regions corresponding to Ecocyc annotated TSS (option 1) and genes (option 2). Also displays low stability regions over any 1000nt long fragment of E. coli genome (option 3)

 Please select a search criteria

  1. Ecocyc annotated TSS (position or promoter id or promoter name)

  2. Gene name (only for Ecocyc annotated TSS)

  3. Predicted promoter region in a fragment of E. coli genome
